Manipur Awarded for 100% DBT for NSAP by Ministry of Rural Development

Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur and NIC Manipur have been awarded by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India for its outstanding efforts in implementing Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by 100 per cent under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) using NSAP-PPS.
The award was handed over by Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in the presence of Minister of State, Rural Development, Ram Kripal Yadav at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 11th September 2018 to Mrs Jacintha Lazarus, Secretary, Social Welfare Department and Shri. Kh. Rajen Singh, SIO Manipur, Ms. Anoubam Beenarani, SA NIC Manipur.
The NSAP-PPS( National Social Assistance Programme- Pension Payment System) has ensured the disbursement of pension to the bank accounts of the deserving pensioners. The system is integrated with PFMS and aadhar authentication after consent to remove the bogus beneficiaries thus enabling accurate targeting, stop pension, monitoring of payment etc.
