Launching of Integration of TreasuryNet and e-Kuber in Manipur

Integration of TreasuryNet and e-Kuber in Manipur was launched by Shri N. Biren Singh, Honb’le Chief Minister of Manipur on 11th February 2020 at Cabinet Hall of Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Y. Joykumar, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Secretary Dr Suresh Babu, Principal Secretary (Finance), officials of the finance department, NIC, Directorate of Treasuries were present in the function.
The new payment system of TreasuryNet through e-Kuber will fully replace the existing payment system for the purpose of government payments in all the treasuries and sub-treasuries of the state. Under this system, there will be no role of banks in government payments and RBI will act as the sole agency bank. All government transactions for payment will be directly with RBI without any intermediary bank.
It may be mentioned that Integration of TreasuryNet and e-Kuber in Manipur was started on a pilot basis by the state government at Imphal East Treasury from 6th January 2020. The interface software are developed by NIC Manipur for the integration of TreasuryNet and e-Kuber.
