Students and faculties of the Department of Computer Science, Don Bosco College, Maram, Manipur alongwith NIC Manipur Officers
About 30 students led by two faculties of Computer Science Department, Don Bosco College, Maram Manipur visited NIC Manipur, New Secretariat, Imphal on 3rd August 2019, as a part of educational tour. Under the supervision of Sh N Binod Singh,TD the Network Team of NIC-Manipur conducted a half day programme, which comprises of interactive lectures on Digital India, ICT Infrastructure and Services of NIC, in Manipur. At the outset, Shri N. Binod Singh, TD cum Network Coordinator welcomed the students and faculties of the department of Computer Science, Don Bosco College, Maram. He described about the organizational setup, ICT infrastructure & activities of NIC Manipur and motivates them towards the field of ICT. The network team also illustrated/ explained the students of the various Network architecture & ICT devices, and the functioning of NIC Mini Data Centre. Interactive video conferencing sessions between NIC Imphal East and NIC Senapati, was held with the participation of the students from NIC Manipur VC Studio. Shri L. Roshan Singh, DIO, Imphal East describes the functioning of NIC district centre(s) and its ICT services in the districts. The student and faculties raised various queries which were explained in detail during the session. At the end of the session, Shri Ningmathan Jajo, Lecturer, Don Bosco College, Maram, thanked all the NIC and FMS officials present and assert that this will enlighten the students and helps them in future courses of IT and Computer Science.
