The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports is the nodal agency for implementation of youth welfare programmes and promotion of games and sports in Manipur. It was bifurcated from the Education Department on 26-5-1980. The Directorate Office of the Department is located at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex at Imphal. The Department has District Offices in all the 9 (nine) district headquarters and 2 (two) Branch Offices at Kangpokpi and Jiribam Sub-Divisions.
