Achievements
Production and Distribution of Biofertilisers
On production front the RBDC,
Imphal started the production of Biofertilisers since 1992-93 and
continued till Oct. 2000. During this period in all 270 MT of
Biofertiliser was produced and distributed to the farmers through
various channalising agencies. Details in respect of Biofertilisers sold/distributed in
different states by the RBDC is given below:

Development of Culture collection and new strains:
During the period in all 12 strains of different biofertilizers,
organisms were developed. A culture collection bank comprising of 72 effective strains of different
micro organisms is being maintained. Out of this 242 slants of different strains have been provided to different production units in the Region for use as mother cultures in their production schedules.
Organization of training programmes and demonstrations
For promotion of biofertilizers and for transfer of biofertilization technology large number of training
programmes, demonstrations and field days were organized. In all 2
Regional Conferences, 3 refresher courses, 16 orientation courses,
54 extension staff training, 15 dealers training & 365 demonstration
cum field days have been organized during the last 10 years' period.
