Academic pursuits:
The Vidyalaya has shown its excellence in academic pursuits with 99 pass percentage in the Home Examinations and 97% in the ALL India Secondary School (Class X) Examination 2006 and 95% pass percentage in the All India Senior School Certificate(Class XII) Examination 2006 of the Central Board of Secondary Education , Delhi.
Students achievers:
Miss Payal Jain secured 1st position in the Vidyalaya with 92% marks in aggregate in AISSE 2006 and Roshan Salam secured 1st position in the Vidyalaya with 79% marks in aggregate and distinction marks in Biology with 97% marks.
Two of our students got selected for admission in MBBS and six others were selected for engineering at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Bidar, karnataka.
Co-curricular activities:
The Vidyalaya never lags behind in co-curricular activities and extra curricular activities. The Vidyalaya begged first position at the Cluster Level Social Science Exhibition 2006-07 and stood second position at Regional Level Social Science Exhibition held at Kendriya Vidyalaya Nazira, Assam. The Vidyalaya organised Regional Level National Youth parliament competition and stood second in order of merit with 97 points.
Games And Sports:
The Vidyalaya represented KVS Silchar Region at the KVS National sports Meet 2006-07 in various events.
The Vidyalaya Annual sports Meet was held from 3rd to 15th January at the Vidyalaya playground and Annual Sports Day was held on 31st January, 2007.
Scouts & Guides:
The Vidyalaya's Scouts and Guides Unit organised a trekking expedition at Cheiraoba Hill, Manipur. There was paragliding session at Koirengei old Airfield.
NCC:
The Vidyalaya has started initiating the revitalized the NCC Unit of the Vidyalaya under directions of the KVS Headquarters, New Delhi.
Visits by Educationalists and Experts:
Shri A K Upadhyay, Honourable Education Officer, KVS, Silchar Region visited the Vidyalaya in September 2006 for Annual Panel Inspection with a team of the Principal of Manipur cluster. Prof. A Nandakumar Sharma, of Manipur University, educationalist member of VMC pays his valuable visits from time to time to supervise and review the development works of the Vidyalaya as well as academic pursuits of the Vidyalaya. Shri S Tombi Singh, Principal, Kanan Devi Memorial College of Education, Pangei, Imphal visited the Vidyalaya as Chief Guest on KVS Foundation Day. Dr. Akshay Kumar, HOD, Psychology RIMS Imphal and Dr. Sudhiranjan Asstt. Prof. ENT, RIMS Imphal and Dr. Maniketan Joint Director, Manipur Aids Control Society (MACS) visited the Vidyalaya and spokes on healthy growing programme for parents and teachers meeting.
National Level achievements:
A very rare achievement was won by RK Rahul of class VII-C. He was conferred the prestigious Jeevan Rakshak Padak 2005 by the President, Dr. A P J abdul Kalam. However, the award was presented by His Excellency, the Governor of Manipur, Dr. S S Sidhu on Republic Day 2006 celebration at Kangla. R K Rahul cloud serve a precious life of a child from inside a house on fire for which he was awarded National Bravery Award 2005 on Republic Day.
