Introduction:
The 7th All India School Education Survey
has various phases such as planning, training of staff, data
collection, manual scrutiny and preparation of data for
their transcription on magnetic media. The survey,
being gigantic, is to be operated by a large number of
persons at the National, State, District and CD block/town
levels. The date of reference is 30th September 2002.
The survey proposes to provide basic inputs required for
future planning and management of school education,
particularly meeting the data needs for specific initiatives
in the field of elementary and secondary education.
The first task of the survey is to prepare a comprehensive,
up-to-date list of recognised schools for each block/town
(ward in class I cities) . This list will be of great help
in distribution of survey tools and receiving them back
after they are filled-in.
For the state of Manipur, Directorate of Education (S),
Govt. of Manipur and NIC, Manipur State are entrusted for
successful completion of the project.
